why there is no API to delete face_id, or img_id

I have uploaded an Image for a person and now I want to delete that image.
I deleted it from my site, and added new image so I got new img_id and new face_id?

but I wonder, what happens to old face_id and old img_id ? because I am not going to use it anymore? its now redundant. and this can happens quite many time in my case.
