The currently used (simple) robot tracking algorithm has shown minor issues with robots becoming undetected during robot collisions, robots clumping together or at camera borders with significant geometry offsets. As pink blobs outside of robots are likely to be classified as balls, this behavior is undesirable. Better partial robot detection recovery methods and robot tracking algorithms should improve this.
If the new approach also manages to recover undetected blobs, a further automatic investigation why these blobs were not detected would be helpful for further automatic parameter adaption (e.g. the blob threshold).
