Android 11 not receiving data

I've connected to the nano and then switched to the app. The app keeps spinning as if it's still looking for a bee hive to connect to. Looking at paired ble devices on the os11 it seems like its trying to pair only to fail and disconnect.
If i remember right. The permission system changed from os 10 to 11. Is the app coded to reflect that?
