Some wishes: cache src/dst folders, delete on dst side and improve installation process

Hey,
I'm looking for a simple, free and easy to use backup software. I'm looking for something I can recommend for non-tech people.
I like your tool! Is it still maintained?

I have some wishes:

• It would be nice if the src and dest directories would be cached/stored somewhere. Then people can just open it and click backup
• It would be nice to have a check box to also auto-delete files on the destination side (like rsync --delete on Linux)
• I'm still thinking about how to improve the installation process for non-tech people (I think the menu item is not super important)
  • would be nice to have an entry in the start menu
  • would be nice to just have a single exectuable (e. g. download it to the Downloads folder and run it from there)

Would be nice to get an update here. I'm not a C#/Windows GUI, but I'm thinking about writing a similar tool in Go.... Sad that it's so complicated to just have a backup....

thanks for your suggestions and ideas.

Unfortunately, I currently don't have the capacity to continue developing the tool. If I ever find the time again, I’ll definitely take your points into account.

Caching in particular would be interesting for backups. In general, the tool wasn’t originally intended for backups, which is why some functionalities are missing.
