Awesome project - I'm updating for my site to be automatically compatible with Bootstrap CSS - are you interested in making that the default for this library (or maybe add that as an option)? My rough draft is at the Bootstrap branch of my fork. Main change is to use <ul><li><a> rather than the <nav><span> convention.
I'm not sure how you had thought about applying style to these tabs but for most of my projects, automatically integrating with Bootstrap CSS would be ideal and I'm happy to create the pull request once I've cleaned it up!
Also please excuse me for misspelling compatibility...I can't change it now :/
