I see you are making progress! I haven't prioritized the project in a while. It's on my giant list of todos. Not much progress past the point in the tweet, because I got blocked working through the pixel-mapping-in-3d algorithm

Oh, it actually worked! I deleted the issue because I was dubious that approach to contact you would work. So I took a tutorial instead and am now stripping out the things I don’t need and refactoring it until I get to the point where it’s actually useful. The end goal is quite ambitious. We’re going to light up a geodesic dome that consists of 123 triangles with 31000 WS2815s, and I want to be able to model it to be in a position to test it and develop patterns on the PC rather than on target. The whole thing will be MIDI enabled. Clueless about OpenGL I did a wee google search and came across your tweet. I’m not sure if using a texture for the LEDs is needed at all, so was wondering what approach you’ve taken. But then again, the particle simulation I based this off used 100000 particles so I guess it scales.
