This is the public place to report bugs, request features and talk about Routines, the local-first AI assistant for Mac.
The source code of Routines is private, so this repository holds no code. It holds the conversation.
| You want to | Do this |
|---|---|
| Report something broken | Open a bug report |
| Ask for a feature or a change | Open a feature request |
| Ask how something works | Start a Q&A discussion |
| Share an idea, a routine you built, or a workflow | Start a discussion |
| Anything about your account, billing, or private data | Write to us at getroutines.ai/contact. Never post it here. |
| A security problem | Read SECURITY.md. Do not open a public issue. |
Everything here is public and indexed by search engines. Please do not paste:
- meeting transcripts, notes, emails, calendar entries or chat messages, yours or anyone else's
- API keys, tokens, sign-in links or anything from the Settings screens that looks like a secret
- names, email addresses or other details of people who did not agree to appear here
A short description of what you did, what you expected and what happened instead is what we need. Your app version (Settings > General) and your macOS version help a lot. We never need your logs, transcripts or routine outputs to start looking.
We read everything. Bug reports get a label and, when we can reproduce them, a fix in a release, which you can follow on getroutines.ai/releases. Feature requests get a label and a place in the roadmap when they fit where the product is going. Most things do not get a reply, and that is not a sign nobody read them.
Closed issues are locked after a period of inactivity. If the same problem comes back, open a new issue and link the old one.
Downloads and release notes live at getroutines.ai/releases. Routines works with the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for, or your own API key; when you report a bug, tell us which one you use.
