# Use your developer subscription to build Microsoft 365 solutions

What do you want to build with your Microsoft 365 developer subscription? Depending on what you are interested in, you can do a lot of different things. The following are some of the products and technology areas that you can start with.

## Microsoft 365 Copilot

Your Microsoft 365 developer subscription now supports building and testing Microsoft 365 Copilot extensions end-to-end, in a production-like environment, without touching your live tenant. With a commercially enabled instant sandbox, you can:

- Build declarative agents that extend Copilot with custom instructions, knowledge, and actions.
- Build API plugins that connect Copilot to your own or third-party services.
- Prototype intelligent workflows, such as a custom agent for customer support or a knowledge-retrieval plugin, and iterate on them in a single sandbox.

To get started:

1. Make sure your sandbox has add-on purchase capability enabled — see [Do all Developer Program members get a commercially enabled sandbox?](microsoft-365-developer-program-faq.yml#do-all-developer-program-members-get-a-commercially-enabled-sandbox-)
2. [Purchase a Microsoft 365 Copilot license](purchase-copilot-licenses.md) from your sandbox and assign it to a test user.
3. Build and test your extension using the [Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility documentation](/microsoft-365-copilot/extensibility/).

## Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace that integrates with the apps and services that people use to get work done together. The Microsoft Teams developer platform makes it easy for you to integrate your own service, whether you develop custom apps for your enterprise or SaaS applications for teams around the world.
