Existing order: klappy/kitchen rail/2-cooking/2026-08-29-time-blindness-responsiveness-ruling. Claim64e056703d2bf9e0018e6f31dd4e9f1bb7d682e9. Draft-only; no merge, adoption or review request. Replaces rejected recap approach from klappy.dev#314.

Changes: neutral resonance with zero author quotations and zero transcript bodies; precise source limits; preserves occupied R20 via R21; aligns the template filename with its declared lowercase URI. Existing observation untouched. Dynamic catalog retained.

Exact divergence for captain review:

Captain review: pending.

The house applies this learning discipline to model sessions that may begin without the previous session's context. It therefore makes re-establishing the working culture an explicit operational cost: retrieve current instructions, observe the current state, and leave evidence that the next session can use.

This is a difference in implementation context and tradeoff, not a claim that Syed rejects persistent records or learning during ongoing work. The house chooses repeated retrieval and explicit handoffs over relying on continuity within the participant.

Exact local ruling:

  • 2026-09-08 — R21 Responsive front of house. The user-facing seat stays responsive in seconds and delegates substantive work through the responsible coordinator; it observes the clock and reports material progress or changed conditions without making the captain chase it. Follow the Operationalization in ODD section of klappy://canon/resonance/black-box-thinking. A host that cannot sustain this separation must disclose the capability gap and actual work state; a promise of delegation is not evidence of a running worker.

Validation: source/branch readback and scoped diff checks being recorded in ticket cargo. Independent semantic review and captain review pending. Lowercase get NOT_FOUND and uppercase get FOUND observed before change. Actual postmerge resolve remains pending; draft branches are not indexed by default.

Self-audit: the external page is a secondary talk description, not primary book evidence. No chapter claims or quotations are inferred. Comparison stays proposed until review. No notifications or merge.

Paired draft: https://github.com/klappy/kitchen/pull/113

Review correction: single lowercase canon/resonance/template.md with original template body preserved byte-for-byte; uppercase file removed; three pointer spellings in two existing documents updated. No case-only alias file. External uppercase klappy://canon/resonance/TEMPLATE callers must migrate to lowercase; no router alias is proven. Live lowercase resolution still awaits merge. R21 unchanged.

Canon Quality — P0010 Retrieval-Readiness ⚠️

Soft report for klappy://canon/constraints/retrieval-disclosure-contract. 717 files scanned. Never blocks — informational until the corpus is ready to enforce.

  • Blocking-class findings: 19 (structural fields the contract would filter on)
  • Warnings: 0 (kind resolves to unknown)
  • Informational: 13 (exempt templates/archive/drafts)

Kind distribution: {'essays': 53, 'canon': 253, 'apocrypha': 38, 'docs': 307, 'journals': 60, 'unknown': 6}
Kind source: {'path': 579, 'frontmatter': 132, 'none': 6} (frontmatter-primary, path-secondary)
Default-include visibility: 613 visible, 104 hidden (journals/apocrypha/unknown)

By rule: {'audience-invalid': 4, 'exposure-missing': 7, 'tier-missing': 5, 'tier-invalid': 7, 'fm-missing': 3, 'kind-unresolvable': 6}

These are not schema violations (see the Frontmatter Schema job for those on writings/). They are corpus-readiness signals for the retrieval contract: invalid/missing audience, exposure, tier, and docs whose kind cannot be resolved. Fix in a corpus-cleanup PR before the contract flips to enforcing. See the retrieval-readiness-findings artifact for the full list.
