Svelte Project Setup and Architecture

User Story

As a developer, I want a well-structured Svelte frontend foundation so that we can build a responsive and performant user interface.

Technical Requirements

  • Initialize SvelteKit project with TypeScript configuration
  • Configure TailwindCSS for responsive styling
  • Set up development server with hot-reload capability
  • Implement routing with SvelteKit file-based router
  • Create responsive layout with mobile-first navigation
  • Configure environment variables for API endpoint management

Acceptance Criteria

  • SvelteKit project builds and runs in development mode
  • TailwindCSS classes apply correctly across components
  • Responsive navigation adapts to mobile and desktop viewports
  • Environment configuration supports development and production
  • Hot-reload updates components without full page refresh
  • TypeScript compilation passes without errors

Definition of Done

  • Frontend application starts with npm run dev
  • Production build generates optimized bundle under 500KB
  • Responsive design tested on mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • ESLint and Prettier configured for code consistency
  • Documentation updated with setup instructions
